Rabecca Asher Trump Christian Kalona Iowa

On her Facebook profile, Rabecca Asher of Kalona, Iowa describes herself as a “special needs assistant”, not a minister. Rabecca Asher is a dedicated supporter of Donald Trump, but she never claims to be a religious leader in her messages supporting Donald Trump.

In 2012, Rabecca Asher was quoted in local news media as explaining that she was voting for the Republican Mitt Romney because she didn’t like Barack Obama. She was cited as an ordinary citizen, not as a religious leader.

All the available evidence indicates that Rabecca Asher is not now, nor has ever been a religious leader.

So, why has Donald Trump’s campaign bragged that Rabecca Asher is one of over 300 faith leaders endorsing his campaign as part of the Iowa Faith Leader Coalition.

Did Rabecca Asher lie to the Trump campaign, or did the Trump campaign dishonestly add Rabecca Asher’s name to the Iowa Faith Leader Coalition in order to inflate the number of Iowa Christian leaders appearing to endorse Donald Trump?

Rabecca Asher is listed by the Trump 2024 campaign as a “minister” in the Iowa Faith Leader Coalition…

…but there is no record anywhere online of anyone named Rabecca Asher working as a minister for any church or other religious organization in Iowa.
