Anderson teaches that the only reason people die of cancer is because they don’t practice Christianity in the proper way. “Nobody needs to die from cancer anymore,” he writes. “When cancer tried to kill me, I became a cancer-killer. Jesus Christ heals through natural and spiritual means!”
Mark Anderson is a pastor at Church of the living water in Muscatine, Iowa.
The Church of the Living Water is part of the New Apostolic Reformation, which teaches that Christianity must be in strict control of every aspect of society, replacing democracy with theocracy.
The church is harsh and judgmental of Americans who are not Christians, threatening that “those who have chosen to reject Christ and His offer of eternal salvation will be sentenced to eternal torment.”
Mark Anderson has declared that all marriages in the United States must obey harsh Christian religious rules about who can be married and how married couples must behave. Anderson signed a letter sent to the Iowa state legislature demanding that the legislators submit themselves to the power of Christian leaders.
The letter stated that Christian rules about marriage must be obeyed by everyone, even by Americans who are not Christian:
“Because God is God of all, there is no structural difference between religious and civil marriage. The essence of marriage remains the same in both the religious and civil realms. (Col. 1:15-19) The acknowledgement of, and reference to, marriage in the laws of our state and nation does not create a second realm of marriage that is somehow divorced from the only definition determined by God.”
The Iowa Faith Leader Coalition is a radical political organization that violates the law
Let’s make it our business to become aware of the radical Christian Nationalists who are members of the Coalition.
