In his religious life, Lucas Reinhart posts social media memes that accuse public school teachers of being in league with Satan. He advises that children should be sent to school with the idea that they are heading into battle against demons, like soldiers with swords.
“The devil is very sneaky,” Reinhart warns. “We must not be ignorant to the tactics of the evil one.”
Reinhart also believes that Satan is using Walmart to spread the supernatural power of demonic forces by selling Halloween costumes. He chastises Walmart, writing, “if y'all want to celebrate the devils holiday, go right ahead, but really walmart?! front page of the website they take the purest form in God's eyes, a child and associate it with the devil. Way to be intentional because we all know the devil wants them young! Well I rebuke satan in the name of Jesus, he has no hold on our children!”
Reinhart says “we need to get this country back to the Christian, God fearing nation it once was!” Apparently, that means making public schools into tools for religious indoctrination, and ending Halloween celebrations.
Is Donald Trump in favor of banning Halloween? Did Trump understand Lucas Reinhart’s agenda when he bragged about Reinhart’s endorsement?
It seems unlikely, given that the Trump for President campaign didn’t even spell Lucas Reinhart’s name correctly when it released the names of people on the Iowa Faith Leader Coalition. Trump called him “Lucas Reinhard”.
It appears that Donald Trump has no idea who Lucas Reinhart actually is at all.
Trump just wanted another name on his list.
Lucas Reinhart plays guitar in the church band at That Church in Clinton, Iowa.
That Church is led by pastors Korene Sturtz and Darin Sturtz, who are also members of Donald Trump’s Iowa Faith Leader Coalition.
For his day job, Lucas Reinhart describes himself as a “computer systems engineer with 19+ years of experience working with Microsoft server and desktop technologies”.
He has recently started a Techies4Jesus blog, through which he hopes to apply his Christian beliefs through digital technology. “our mission is to help advance the kingdom of GOD by helping God’s anointed ones spread the Gospel and expand their reach through the use of technology.”
A new book, Donald Trump’s Army of God: Christian Nationalism in the Iowa Faith Leader Coalition, provides information about all 317 members of the Iowa Faith Leader Coalition.
As “a case study in the violent extremism that has come to define the presidential election of 2024,” the book provides a grounded examination of Christian Nationalist ideology that is lacking from other, more theoretical, books on Christian Nationalism.
The Iowa Faith Leader Coalition is an extremist political organization that violates the law
