Elsewhere, the Missouri Synod of The Lutheran Church lists Linden Wendzel as one of many pastors at the Des Moines Area Community College.

So what’s the story with Linden Wendzel? If he was really a prominent “faith leader” in Iowa, and not just someone skulking about on the edges of Christian organizations, wouldn’t there be more of a clear, public story about who he is and what he’s up to?

In December 2023, the Trump for President campaign listed Linden Wenzel as a pastor. In January 2024, the Trump for President campaign listed Wendzel as an “elder”.

Is Wenzel retired? Defrocked? The Iowa Faith Leader Coalition has not explained the discrepancy.

In the past, Linden Wendzel was referred to as a pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson, Iowa. The Trinity Lutheran Church now lists Dennis Martens as pastor, however and Linden Wendzel isn’t mentioned anywhere at all by the church.
