“Those individuals who believe in their Creator have their wrongs washed away and will have eternal life. Those individuals who do not believe in the Creator will be judged for all the wrongs they have done, pay the price and then perish in the 2nd death.”
Under this brutal double standard, people are judged not according to their actions, but according to their religious ideology. People who identify as Christians are given a moral free pass to do whatever they please, and their wrongdoings are automatically forgiven, no matter how cruel they are or how many people they hurt.
Non-Christians, on the other hand, must never be forgiven for even their slightest mistakes. Non-Christians, according to the perspective of Dale Copranis, always deserve the most severe judgment and punishment possible, to suffer for all eternity, simply because they do not believe in the existence of the Christian god.
Donald Trump says that he’s a Christian. So, Christians who are like Dale Copranis automatically forgive all of his violence and cruelty. They are willing to accept any brutality by Donald Trump because he is part of their club. They believe that a perk of membership in the club of Christianity is that Christians can get away with anything with no consequences. At the same time, they believe that all non-Christian Americans should expect to be treated with inhumanity simply because they aren’t members of the Christianity club.
It may be impossible to convince anyone with this kind of morally relativistic point of view to walk away from their adoration of Donald Trump. Because they believe that their own social circle should get away with whatever they want, while everybody else should be denied any forgiveness, it would be insane, from their perspective, to walk away from their status as religious elites.
The best hope for America in 2024 is that there will enough Christians who will be morally decent enough to see how terrifying the Dale Copranis double standard is.
Dale Coparanis is Knowledge Management System Manager at World Relief.
A recent Facebook post by Coparanis goes a long way toward explaining why many American Christians see no problem with Donald Trump’s many gravely immoral actions.
Coparanis wrote about two different moral standards that exist, one for Christians and one for non-Christians:
More information about the 317 members of the Iowa Faith Leader coalition is found in the new book Donald Trump’s Army of God: Christian Nationalism in the Iowa Faith Leader Coalition.
This Christian Nationalist network harbors terrorism, Nazi propaganda, murder, business fraud, obsessions with demons, and faith healing. Coalition members also bring a hunger for global genocidal war to the Trump campaign.
We can’t afford to remain ignorant of what this group has planned for America.
The Iowa Faith Leader Coalition is a radical political organization that violates American law
